Currently Listening
Absolution
By Muse
see related

i don't know why it is this way
why I'm writing this song today
i guess I just feel left out of
this little game they call "love"
but anyone can feel left on the shelf
and ask these questions of themselves
do they simply see right through me?
or is it myself I actually need to be?

you're the bane of my existence
you're the source of my tears
you're the reason for laughter
that you'll never hear

I think I'm going to add more to this song later....

hello, Xanga. it's been awhile.

Top 10 fall activities:

10. jumping into piles of leaves - what could be better...? wait, there's 9 more coming...

9. sit outside at night with a scarf, a cozy sweater or warm coat, and a cup of tea (maybe mint?) and drink in the autumn aroma.  and feeling.

8. turn one lamp on, grab a cup of something warm, get a book, light a fire (only recommended if you actually have a fireplace) and read for at least 3 hours. don't forget a blanket.

7. invite friends over who enjoy music (even some who can play it) and light loads of candles and just jam it out.  sing songs and drink apple cider.  it's theraputic.

6. blow the dust off your textbooks, find the nearest or best coffee shop (depending on your preference: convenience or ambiance), and take the evening to catch up with yourself - academically speaking.

5. go for a walk.  take someone with you - not just anyone.  someone.

4. take your camera out and make a fall album.  if you love photography, peftect.  if you don't, try something new.

3. put on 3 sweaters, a hat, mittens, 2 scarves and 2 pairs of jeans and go outside and go stargazing. bring friends.

2. do some baking (or find someone who will).  it makes the house warm and smelling fantastic.  and who doesn't like to eat?

1. go to a corn maze.  make sure they have pumpkin picking and hayrides too.  it's best if you bring as many people as you can.  and take your time.

I'm starting to feel something today, but I can't quite say what it is.  Maybe a little bit of sadness...

I'm home now and I don't really know how I feel yet.  Literally.  I am not really feeling anything - consistently.  But anyways!  I'm really looking forward to this next chapter of my life.  I think it will be a really good one!

It is tiring to try and speak another language with people who don't know English.  BUT I love it!  It's so good for me and for my German!
